Cathy is certified as a bankruptcy specialist by the California State Bar and nationally recognized for her skill and insight about consumer bankruptcy law. A graduate of Stanford University and University of California Hastings College of Law, Cathy has headed her own law firm since she passed the bar in 1978.
Over the course of her career, she has represented debtors in Chapters 7, 11, and 13 as well as trustees, creditors and creditors committees.
Cathy is a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorney (NACBA) where she was recognized in 2017 for long term service to the organization. She was first named a Bankruptcy Super Lawyer in 2007, and in each year since. She also serves on the board of the
