Occasionally, there are times when a debtor needs to file a late claim in a consumer bankruptcy case. The question arises frequently in chapter 13 cases when payment of a claim is necessary to achieve the goal of the chapter 13 plan (e.g., payment of taxes, child support arrearage, mortgage arrearage, etc.).
